KOSÉ Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazutoshi Kobayashi) announces that the company has been selected for the fifth consecutive year for the FTSE4Good Index Series*1 and the FTSE Blossom Japan Index*2, the third consecutive year for the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index*2, and the sixth consecutive year for the MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN)*3, the leading indicators for ESG (environmental, social and governance) investment.

FTSE4Good Index Series and FTSE Blossom Japan Index are indexes developed by FTSE Russell, a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), aimed at selection of companies that excel in ESG practices. MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN) was created by MSCI Inc. of the United States to select Japanese companies that rate high in gender diversity rating to promote the advancement of women. Companies that stand out in the engagement of women and promotion of diversity are selected from among the top 700 in market capitalization in Japan. These indexes are being used by investors around the world in investment decision-making to assess the business value of the company, not only in terms of financial performance, but also in terms of the company’s social responsibility and ethical activities.

KOSÉ Group’s Sustainability Strategy
The KOSÉ Group announced the “KOSÉ Sustainability Plan” that outlines the activities related to
sustainability that are to be conducted across the entire Group and the targets to be achieved by 2030 as a part of its corporate management strategy. The Plan, which establishes six specific activity themes　related to people, society and the global environment, is being promoted ambitiously. Inclusion in these　indices this time is believed to be a positive evaluation of these activities.
Through the Plan, KOSÉ aims to make advances in both business development and realization of a
sustainable society and become a strong and trusted global presence.
