KOSÉ Sponsored Fukushima Projection Mapping 2017 “Haruka – Shirakawa Hanakagari –” Event
Fukushima Projection Mapping event “Haruka” that is held annually during spring was held in April in Shirakawa-city, Fukushima, titled “Shirakawa Hanakagari.” This year the event was held at Nanko Park that is said to be the oldest park in Japan. The event attracted visitors with an orchestrated performance of water, light, and sound. Beautiful scenes that expressed the joy to welcome the spring and the spirits were projected on the water screen, and “Hana-wa-saku,” a theme song by NHK (Nippon Hoso Kyokai – Japan Broadcasting Corporation) to support Fukushima’s reconstruction from the devastating earthquake, was sung by a professional singer Mori Kumiko with a chorus group and Japanese drums.
