Continued donation of cosmetics to medical personnel

On December 21, 2020, KOSÉ Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: KOBAYASHI Kazutoshi) launched “You are my HERO” project to support medical personnel. Through the Nippon Foundation (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: SASAKAWA Yohei), KOSÉ donates its cosmetic products to personnel working at medical facilities nationwide. The company has already donated a total of about 1,120,000 items, and it has decided to donate additional 36,000 cosmetic items.

Through this project, we have continued to donate cosmetics over the past year, hoping that the “power of cosmetics” that brings moisture to and rejuvenates the mind and skin will help heal the fatigue of medical personnel.

Although the declaration of a state of emergency and priority measures to prevent the spread of the disease were lifted on September 30, the burden on medical personnel remains high. It is necessary to alleviate medical personnel’s mental and physical burden and stress. In particular, we decided to donate cosmetics through the Nippon Foundation to medical institutions in Tokyo, where many people have been suffering from long-term infections.

The items to be donated will be cosmetics from the KOSÉ brand “Sekkisei” and “Visée,” as well as the affiliate KOSÉ Cosmeport “Clear Turn.”

It is said that it will still take some time for the new coronavirus infection to end. We hope that the cosmetics we donate will help alleviate medical personnel’s mental and physical fatigue, even if the burden on them is prolonged.

Donation of 760,000 new cosmetic products to medical personnel, bringing the total number of donated cosmetics to over 1 million

We have decided to donate additional 760,000 cosmetic items, considering the prolonged response and many requests. Together with the 360,000 items already donated, this brings the total to approximately 1,120,000 items.

While the start of vaccination is a bright spot, it will take some time before the fight against COVID-19 is brought to an end, as mutated strains of the virus have been detected, and the burden on medical personnel is expected to be prolonged even further. In response to the donation of cosmetics through this project, we received many comments from medical personnel, such as ” the cosmetics healed my skin and my mind,” “the cosmetics made everyone smile,” and “I was encouraged by your support.” We are grateful that the significance of this project was widely accepted and highly appreciated by medical personnel, and at the same time, we have been able to reaffirm the great power of cosmetics. As we have received more requests than expected, we decided to donate additional cosmetics to heal more medical personnel’s mental and physical fatigue by moisturizing and rejuvenating their minds and skin.

As for donated items, in addition to KOSÉ brand cosmetics such as “COSME DECORTÉ” and “Visée,” we will expand the scope of the donation to affiliated companies such as KOSÉ Cosmeport’s “Softymo” and “Clear Turn,” and we will work on this together as the entire KOSÉ Group.
The application period for this project has already ended, and the cosmetics that will be added this time will be delivered sequentially to the medical facilities that have already applied for them.

Donation of additional 210,000 cosmetic products to medical personnel

On December 21, 2020, we launched “You are my HERO” project to support medical personnel. Through the Nippon Foundation (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: SASAKAWA Yohei), we donate cosmetic products to personnel working at medical facilities nationwide. We began accepting applications on the same day as the program’s launch. However, we received applications that far exceeded our expectations, so we decided to donate a total of approximately 360,000 items, adding 210,000 new items to the 150,000 originally donated.

Applications have already been closed, and the cosmetics added this time will be delivered sequentially to the medical facilities that have already applied.

As part of the “You are my HERO” initiative, we donate cosmetics and support funds through the Nippon Foundation. Part of our online site “Maison KOSÉ” sales support medical personnel.
